ACADEMIC PROGRAM
Study Aircraft Maintenance Technology
at the only Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approved school in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean.
Academic Program
The Puerto Rico Aviation Maintenance Institute has an approved academic program that has been designed to qualify students to perform the duties of an Aircraft Mechanic for a particular rating or ratings (Airframe and/or Powerplant).
Curriculums
Combined General, Airframe and Powerplant curriculums are 2,252 hours with a approximate time-frame of three (3) years of study.

The curriculum offers for each subject the required practical projects, proportions of theory and other instructions to comply with federal aviation regulation Part 147.
The complete course will require an approximate three (3) Puerto Rico Department of Education School Calendar years.

The Puerto Rico Aviation Maintenance Institute will give a certificate to each student for each completed curriculum (General, Powerplant and Airframe).

Materials, tools and Equipment
The Puerto Rico Aviation Maintenance Institute has an adequate supply of materials, special tools and such of the shop equipment as are appropriate to the approved curriculum of the school and are used in constructing and maintaining aircraft to assure that each student will be properly instructed. The special tools and shop equipment are in satisfactory working condition for the purpose for which they are to be used.
PRAMI Aircrafts
Aircraft type currently certificated by the Federal Aviation Administration for private or commercial operation, with powerplant, propeller, instruments, navigation and communication equipment, landing lights, and other equipment and accessories on which a maintenance technician might be required to work and which the technician should be familiar with.
